Sample Story by Tom Twellman, Founder and President of Hair Saloon For Men

My Dad suffered a stroke at the age of 70.

He lost the ability to speak, write, and walk…the absolute worst turn of events for a very proud and successful man.

His six children and a very loving wife took care of him until he died at the age of 77.

An event that happened during his initial stay at the hospital, immediately following the stroke, says it all about my Dad. It happened during my shift/watch on a Saturday morning (around 7am) and will forever be etched in my memory.

A man who had worked for my Dad came by, and I found him pacing the hallway. I was familiar with his story…a troubled past, alcoholic, and less than exemplary employee…but Dad showed tremendous patience and never terminated his employment. He had since moved on to a successful career in a different field, but was here at the hospital as soon as he had heard. He informed me that he would like to see my Dad…but Dad made it clear by “the look”…that he did not want visitors other than family.

After informing the visitor of my Dad’s wishes, he asked if I would pass along a simple message..."Tell him that I love him."

What a beautiful message to a beautiful man.
